LOL all day @ blk's so called clamped tests.... 99% of people who claim to have tested an amplifiers output power don't have the equipment to properly do so. And from your previous threads I can tell you are most definetly in that percentage.

Nice clamp meter, looks like you're missing a piece. Common issue, I've done it before.

I didn't realize amplifiers do numbers on the mic. I must be dumb.

A true RMS multimeter with an amp clamp along with basic ohm's law knowledge?

Hard stuff to come by.

Clamp meter is useful to measure efficency but not output power.... ouput can not be accurately measure with speakers connected (reactive load).

Only way to do it right is with a large resistive load, an oscilloscope, and a power supply big enough to exceed the power demand of the amp. Without the scope you have no way to measure distortion of the sine wave (clipping) and thefore any measurements are completely useless.

I've posted this many times before on the subject and some people just don't get it. But its blk so... not a suprise at all.

Well, M.S., an oscilloscope is not always needed if you have the right ear and have a clue about what you are doing.

And, yes, you can use a clamp and a multimeter to measure power output at that time at that ohm load. Why couldn't you?

well after the impendance of my box who knows what it really puts out,
i clamped it and wired at 2 ohms it got 1000 watts on my hit note, after impedance it was more like 8ohm load
wired at .5 ohms it was around 4000 on my hit note, it does all i want and all i need

im pretty happy with the numbers im getting now,

.... power don't make numbers.. the install does

you can keep changing amps.. but you need to change your whole wall
