probably not. all a line driver does it up the voltage into the amp so you will have to turn down the gain to compensate.
Its supposed to reduce noise in the signal by being higher voltage but i think its a crock of sh1t myself. I personally hear more noise in my stereo (4v outputs) than my friends who only has 2v preouts. but then again my system is about an order of magnitude higher in power...
