Can anyone school me on t-lines?

i havent been around for a while and i been lookin around a bunch of forums and i keep seein these. i seen what they llok like and how to build em but no where can i find what they do. they good for sq? spl? im gonna be gettin a nice sq/sql 12" sub for my trunk prolly a sonance/idmax/sundown sa-12 something like that. and i wanna make the best possible box for it. Any input?

I am not to smart on T-line, but I do know that your power handling is halved.

So if your sub is 1000 rms, to be safe you will only be able to put 500 rms to it.....

But I do hear great things about that style of box.

It's a very efficient enclosure that will play loud and low, It's geared more towards SQ than SPL.

I love using them for single 8 or pairs of 8's or single 10's but after that they get a bit big for most cars although you can fit T-lines built for larger subs in an SUV.

I even designed one for a customer using an 18" for a HT setup.

thanks for the info man so if lookin for a nice low/sq sound this would be good for me? im gonna be doin juss a single 12 so hopefully it would fit because the trunk is decent sized. any good info or links about t-lines are greatly appreciated thanks.

They are also HUGE in size compared to the standard ported box.

^^^exactly what i was about to say - like 2-3 times as big

if done right they sound pretty good though .....
