I am putting a couple old 12" Rockford subs in the back of my car. Due to space and appearence the box needs to be a bit smaller than I think it should be. Demensions are... 33" wide, 13" deep, 16" tall at front and 7" tall at rear. I expect to run between 50-100 watts RMS to each wanna'be sub. I know its not much but I hope it to be more bass than my little 6.5"s are giving me.
So my question then... knowing the demensions of the free space and that I want a cleaner clearer sound rather than muffeled bass what box design should I build. I am considering... Sealed or vented with or without the stuffing in the box.
Which box design do you reccomend? Oh and if vented, what size of vent and what side should it be on?
Thanks for the help.
I know it may hardly be worth building but, hey... the stuff is laying around and my car has nothing in it right now, any additional bass would be nice, my other vehicle has enough bass to rattle windows its hard to drive one that has nothing at all.
