Looks good man, I like it! My best friend from high school had one very similar (but red), can't count the times we almost died in that SOB.

Good SPL truck there. 2.8 or 4.3, hopefully the latter, those are bullet proof motors while the former pretty much suck. Auto or 5 spd?

Check out www.s10forum.com a ton of info about those trucks there.

auto, 4.3L V6

of course.. this will soon change to either a SBC350 or SBC400

I'm strongly considering doing a TBI 350 since it will work with the oem wiring. I'm not shooting for crazy performance.. just perfer a larger motor for when I start to tow my car. That and motors/trans for chevy/gmc are cheap.

When I got the truck he gave me the new bushings needed to put a V8 in there.. just need a radiator/motor mounts/headers .. and the motor/trans lol

350 swap is a popular mod. Lot of info on the forum about that.

The problem with towing over 4000 lbs or so with these trucks is brakes, they ain't big enough.

x2

i have 87 2door s10 blazer with destroked 377, plenty of power, you can get bigger rotors for brakes, that will make a huge diff

what are the dementions/specs of the 2-15" box you are currently using for the MT's? Are you just gonna drop the XXX's in there. I dont remember the tuning but figured it would be to high for the XXX's being used as a daily driver.

im thinking subs/port up in the wagon would be the best design

if i just did a dro in with the XXXs i'd slap a piece of 3/4 mdf in the port to drop the tuning down

Sub up /port rear sounds better IMO in a SUV/Wagon/van. I had to run Sub and port up in my van unless i got rid of 3rd row seat.

If you don't use that box, let me know the dimentios. I'll check to see if the HW's would do good in it. Would need dimentions/ tuning, ect. Probably compare it to one of Kenny's designs that I will end up building. Let me know what would want for it if you go that route.

its 18h x 38w x 24d

tuning is at 41hz.. still going to do a little bracing internally and finish the last bit of the resin..

Well if you gonna do a 350 TBI first thing I would do is............ DUMP THE TBI.

SCREW THAT THING.

Go TPI, or converet an LT1 intake to work with with it.

Look into EBL FLash for the ECM. (im not sure what ECM you have but since your truck has a TBI im sure it can work)

www.dynamicefi.com

The TPI will shoot TQ through the roof. I did my swap it feels so much better.

Or just take the drivetrain out the wifes Legacy and through it in there.
