got my HDC3 in day before yesterday. got it hooked up and everything put in and ready to go. listened to it for a good 5 hrs now probably, and having to send it back now..
some plastic ring popped off around like the top of the motor and was rattling around. The owner at AQ told me just to send it back and he'd fix me right up. i think he said something about putting the new suspension system on it, but i didnt think it was offered on 12's??
oh well, ready to send it off and get it back. That thing slammeddd!!!

oh and btw, can anyone give me some tips on setting my amp? idk exactly how to set my low pass, nor the subsonic..

Subsonic should be set to your box tuning, low pass should be about where your fullrange speakers hpf is at(60-80 is common i think). And if you dont know how to set your gain.

but if you are using music with it i would use that and then tune it by ear, since most songs dont have full out sine waves in them.

Nope, set your Subsonic about 1/3 to 1/2 octave below your box tuning.

What's your box specs? What amp(s)?

What speakers/frontstage setup do you have? Are you using the HPF on your head unit or on an amplifier? You don't want to set your low pass and high pass the same, there needs to be a gap so each can roll off. Too close and they will overlap (play the same notes at high), too far apart and there will be a gap in your freq range.

I'd suggest reading through that site, it is a great starting point to learn audio.
