at the comp last night a guy had a pair of aq 2200 strapped at 2 ohm. they clamped it and he did his run. i was shocked to see that they put out 5900 watts!
he only got a 146 becuase he sucks, has any one else seen an aq2200 clamped?

i also got owned in my class. haha. but i got to talk to some guys that have been in this for many years and later on i found out that they are the judges at finals. i got so many tips from them.
have u guys ever used one of these?

The blue top is the same as a yellow top group 31.

As for 5900 from 2 Aq2200's unless that was at 16v, they clamped it wrong.

Actually, I don't even think peak hold would show that much either lol.

the 146 was a pair of old aq hd 15s in a crappy wall

i just got a 150.7
i my subs don't seal to my box very well after i pained it so i tried to ducktape it shut which gained me .1 db

idk about those 2200s i still have one so i am going to clamp it and see what it really puts out, he had it jsut at 12 volts but maybe they did clamp it wrong... that would not be a first time.
first place in my class hit a 152.9,,, i lost by 2.2dbs... i got killed. ha

i clamped a aq2200 at 1500.xx watts(roughly) with rise to 1.5. 12.9 was voltage after drop. im not a fan of the amp to be honest.amp has to be at least at a soft clip do do power. this one was at a soft clip. decent price but just doesnt seem like a strong amp. it was in my buddy single cab chevy with 2 sx 12s. he did a 150.2 with that setup.

dblk...try some epdm gasketing on the back side of your subs. like 1/2 wide, you can get it at home depot. you will need bout 4 packs. it will seal the woofers. plus duct tape and you will be golden

Im confused.

In one thread you say your hitting 146.xx, then somewhere else you say your hitting a 150.xx before the comp.

Then somewhere else you say your hitting low 150's.

Know its back to 150.7.

What?

it changes every comp. i don't have a mic so i change the volume of the box. it has had a hit not from 44 Hz to 66Hz.

i just kinda go with what i think might work until i can do testing. friday i got 150.7
when i was in the higher 140s it was because the back baffle was held on by ducktape. pretty much no matter what i tune it to it hits in the 50s so far. im building the geodesic baffle now! can't wait to see what that will do
