ive got 2 americanbass dx 12's in my 2002 chevy silverado

theyre under the back seat mounted in a downfire position (whatever the heck that means?) and it just doesnt quite hit hard enough...the box isnt ported...its just airtight sealed...would porting it make it hit harder?

again i am pretty much completely new to the world of car audio so be nice =P

You wont fit the needed size ported box under the seat. Youd have to lose one of your seats and put a box there or get different subs that do well in a small sealed box. RD Sonance and Fi Q are good choices.
