Sup guys,

I just got a new car, and I'm interested in putting some subwoofers in so I decided to join these forums cuz I need some help...

-I have a 1998 Acura Integra LS.

-I want to spend about $300.

-I listen to Hip Hop/Rap

-I want it to have hard hitting bass, but at the same time good quality....

I don't know if that is too much to ask for, but maybe u guys could give me some advice....

Thanks

For subs go with either 1 15" or 1 12" FI BL depending on the space in your trunk. They'd hit hard as sh!t in the right tuned ported enclosure.

Your not going to get anything with $350 unless you shop at a flea market and buy refurb

Well you could, but it would honestly be a waste of money since in the end you'd end up getting something better later down the line

Audioque SDC2.5
RE SE on ebay (I personally like the sq of these)

Amp...anything that can do 600w rms. If you get a dual 4 ohm subwoofer you need 600w rms @ 2 ohm.
If you get dual 2 ohm, get an amp that does 600w rms @ either 1 or 4 ohms.

If those are too much, get a Type R off of ebay and give it 600w as well.

Remember, the box you put the sub in is very important. If you need quality budget wiring...http://knukonceptz.com/. Grab some 4ga so you have room to upgrade in the future.

yeah i second donnie, my type R was awesome and nobody complains. IMO the best sub in that price range.

ctmike, Ive only heard them once at a show last year. some guy had two 15" in an explorer and it straight pounded, it seemed to be a great spl sub and SQ was takin into consideration but i think he setup was more spl. Though to answer your question i dont have the greatest idea because im still young and i havent been able to test, workwith, or experience too many brands. But for sure 1 15" would pound harder than a 12W7, or both my type R's. Though i think mine hit the highs better of course.
