so i made a purchase
http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10635

2 15" RE Audio SEs

Now how about some box plans anyone?
width-49"
height-21"
length-its a avalanche...
^^^MAX DIMENSIONS

i was usin the re box calc. however, i dont want a simple L slot port. Maybe one that looks like
[o[]o] with the port in the middle. If theres better then please let me know. Also, RE recommends 8cubes@34Hz should i tune lower or just go with what RE says?

I had a box with a port in the middle, I really didn't like it, I prefer dual chamber

great choice

ur gonna get some killer lows since i own a pair of 10s in them so i imagine how much lower\louder these will hit

havent worked with any 15s in these b4 but those specs seem decent

from experience separate chambers with its own ports sound more accurate than single chamber single port which sounds slightly louder ...

i got a question for everyone, i sent an email to Crutchfield about all the wiring harnesses i would need to wire up everything while still keeping my Navigation, steering wheel controls, xm, and onstar...

the advisor said all i would need is a LOC...or get an amp with speaker level inputs.. is this right? i thought i needed some sort of harness to keep everything..im a lil confused

The Line out converter converts speaker wire output(high level) into a RCA input(low level). You then tap into the rear speakers and make a 3 way splice if you want to keep the rears and then run the rca's.

The speaker level input would work the same way. This is assuming you want to keep your stock head unit and not use an aftermarket.

i was under the assumption that i would need some hardcore wiring harness or multiple wiring harness to keep my Stock Navigation screen, steering wheel controls, xm, and onstar...

So the LOC is all i really need? is this true?

I dont see why you would need anything else since it modifies the signal after the head unit. I am not totally sure since i have never worked with that stuff before though. You could go to a chevy dealer and ask them, im sure they could tell you for sure.

What year is your avalanche? is it bose? if so there is a module for it. it uses a T harness that plugs into the back of your stock navi. if your avy is 07 or 08 buy this

whatever you do, dont use speaker level inpts or LOC.

if you dont chnage your head unit, you can keep all XM onstar and steering wheel controls with no extra parts.

no one else needs to, its the best and only way to do it right. LOC's are crap, this is a module.

Are you keeping the stock HU or not? If yes that module is what you need.

If you're getting an aftermarket HU then no.
