anything that does between 600-1000rms at 1.3ohm

those 8s are under-rated

want better? run a pair of RE SE 10"s.. mounting depth is exactly 6"

but you need to leave room under the pole vent

pair of IDQ10s would be nice as well

saying no $ limit is dumb. i can suggest something you surely can't afford.

do you have an amp yet? i can suggest a couple very nice packages.

The DD1508 is a mean sub and would work perfect if you have the right power.

Well I would not want to pay more than 2k on subs and an amp so anything under that would be excellent!

for that kinda money why not get a fiberglass enclosure made to utilize max volume, perhaps you may be able to run a deeper sub?

put the seats on risers also..

6" is the max depth. The subs will be behind the rear seats.. no room underneath because there is some storage trunks under there. I took my truck by the local JL dealer and they said 6" was the absolute most they could squeeze out of it and that was with removing some of the rear seat foam. So I was planning on a custom box for the rear anyway.

maybe my price range is wrong and they were just trying to rip me off.. they were wanting 1200 for custom box with two2 10W3V3 with no amp...

so what set-up should i go with?? sundowns, i don't think the re's will work due to their depth, or the IDQ's or are there other possibilities out there??

sorry to keep questioning, but all this is new to me, the sundown 8s will sound better than the image dynamics 10Qs?

that is one of those things subject to you.. you may buy multiple items before you find something you like.. SQ is a different game

I've gone through lots of equipment before I settled on something

both are great choices.. the IDQs needs less power.. both will sound great

up to you, they make good products

if you wanted to spend more i'd suggest some DLS Ultimate Series.. very nice amps.. love mine.. sexy/clean :-)

... they also do cover subs and components if you wanted to do all matching :-)

very natural reproduction of the recordings.. thats why i finally settled on DLS equipment, just pricey

should i run 6.5 midbass drivers in the rear doors and just 6.5" components in the front, or should i do components front and rear?

you don't even need anything in the back.. i'd just leave the stock in the rear powered off the h/u.. spend all the money up front

seeing you have a nice budget, i'd suggest kickpods.. once you have a setup like that youll never go back to door locations

it makes that much difference in sound and soundstage

mmm what are kickpods lol? And is CDT audio good for SQ component speakers or should I go with the DLS as they are similar in price... Not the DLS neodiums however; just the UP6's

I'd take DLS over CDT.. I've ran both.. and actually putting a set of CDT CL-CFs in my wifes wagon.. only reason I'm doing the CDTs is because I needed a very loud component

the DLS sound way better.. I run the nobeliums

Could i Just run a full image dynamics system with two IDQ10s, do you think i'd be happy with that, and just upgrade as i go on? or should i atleast get better components?
