I never realized that the Omega is a wee bit bigger than the HW.

omega does seems to have slightly more cone area due to its suspension design ....

Damn I didn't realize the omega was that big!

Rovin I believe that is a HW v2, the v1's looked the same as an APX/APXX.

Its a V2 HW SQL, Titanium former, double braided tinsel leads (about the size of a pencil around) 65 mm flatwind aluminum coil, triple spiders, and a coil guide :-)

It beats the Omega in every aspect. The SQ is about the same for both, but the HW just has more sheer output. Its a night and day swap out, the lows and pressure were much more noticable

The HW motor is smaller, but is much more powerful. The Omega's use Y-25 grade ferrite, where as the HW uses Y-35 grade ferrite, the highest you can have in a motor setup with ferrite.

One reason for the cone area looking to be bigger on the Omega is because the Omega uses a High roll surround which is taller and thinner, where as the the HW uses a regular surround

I would have guessed the the HW would own the Omega. But it would have been a quess.
