hey can someone help me please i have a 2002 nissan sentra with 2 10w7 a jl 1000/1 and a jl 300/4 my alternator some time charge up to 13.5amps but the current isnt constant im using two batteries a 1.5fard cap and 4 gauge wires but my bass amp still cuts out because of low current wat do i need to improve my current
First off you should be using 0 guage with that amount of current. You might need a High Output alternator too, it sounds like it because your amps are getting low voltage and going into protect(I think). Check the voltage at the amp power input with a dmm with the car running, and then playing songs full tilt to see how much drop you have.
