okay. i have an Kenwood Kac-9102d amplifier (dont know all specs on it so please look it up on google) and 2 750 watt peak 12" Kicker cvr's all running off a Power Supply Unit (PSU). I have the sound coming through an old stereo and its speakers. i want the subs to bang hard. i got this to work by using a RCA to aux plugin cord.
okay now that you know that, My amp will power the subs a little bit but when i turn up the sensitivity and the subs start to pump louder, the amp and PSU shut off.
why is this happening? i was thinking this may be because it does not get enough power from the psu to actually power the subs at a high wattage. Am i right? do i need to just power it off a car battery?
please help me and give me some info on how to fix this please and thank you.
i had the same thing happen to me or some what of the same thing happen and all i did is put a biger Fuse in it . it had 2 15amp fuse's in it and i pulled that out and put in 2 30amp fuse's in. and that fix it for me. but that's if we had the same prob. i hope this help's you
