Anyone ever heard one?

I've heard the 12w7 High output and I think I'm going to get one. 95% of the people on here will tell me not to but i like the sound of it and thats all that matters to me, but before i pull the trigger, i want to know about the high output w6.

I've heard the 10w7 off a 500/1 in the HO box and I personally thought it was weak. But like you said, it doesn't matter what I think. Comes down to whether or not you like it and it seems like you are convinced you like it.

W6 don't get loud but sound good.IMO

"95% of the people on here will tell me not to"

Because the price/proformance is out of WACK.

People learn from there mistakes.

"i put a 1000 rockford to my W6..... killed her"

I love it when people do stupid sh!t with expensive sub(s).

cal i actually have a JBL P1220 loaded enclosure system, its right between the w6 and w7 in SQ/loudness.. amazing setup

sadly it doesnt fit in my trunk.. but i tested it in my brothers corolla and it was outstanding - the loudness and SQ is perfect (it pleases the ears, daily driver at its best) - the box is much lighter and smaller then the JL - slipstream port is impressive its like 10" on the outside and gets smaller, JBL really nows their stuff

let me know if your interested its basically brand new ill sell it to you cheap

I had a 12W7 in the High Output box. Wasn't all that impressed. Wasn't as loud as I liked. On the bright side, the SQ was superb...
When I had it in a homebuilt box, was way louder.
So it depends on what you are after. JL is going to have good SQ no matter what kind you get. Its thier trademark.

i had a friend who had 2 w6 12's instead of a backseat in his extended cab truck.. it got loud enough to give you a decent headache and the sq was about average.. nothing worth bragging about. honestly i think for the money you could do way better, but if you like the way it sounds and have the money to get it, then go for it man.

Is it true a recone for a 10"W7 is around $300-$350 and the 13"W7 is around $500-$550. And you have to have the receipt from the Authorized dealer.

I don't know about the reciept jalopy, but a recone for a 13W7 is a flat rate of $300 plus shipping.
