Repair for the Foam ring around a sub driver

I have a little gash in the foam part surrounding the driver, stupid me let the power drill slip when I was mounting the thing. Can anyone tell me the best stuff to use to try and repair this? Don't know if I should try rubber cement or similar petroleum based stuff cause I don't want to make things worse than they already are. I usually repair everything at home with duct tape but for once this may not be the best way to do this....

that's the surround, and it's a pretty easy fix if its a small tear.
use clear acrylic nail polish (mom or gf should have lots of it) and paint some over both sides of the tear.
allow to dry overnight.
should seal that hole permanently.
I fixed a sub that was in 1991
still holding strong.
