so a local kid comes by and shows me his new set up, A JBL 2 channel pushing a couple of old Xtant M series subs. So he turns it up, and it sounds terrible. So I ask what his amp set up is at, he says maxxed out.
So anyway, set it to lp @ 80, Adjust the gain so it wasnt clipping, but still no output and sounded like poo.
So I grab my DMM and check voltage..its at 7 volts. I was surprised the amp was still on. So I say wheres it wired to?
So he pops the hood to check the battery and fuse, And when I see the fuse, Its glowing bright as hell. So I pull it and notice it was a light bulb, like the overhead ones in your car...
So I jump it out, check voltage again at amp, 14 volts, and adjusted it again for him. He was happy. He was going to go get a new fuse.
Kids today..
