Vote: We Need Mods

Platinum Member Username: Nyyfan13Northern VA Post Number: 11253 Registered: Jul-06 | Most of us here have requested a Mod or two in the Subwoofer section due to off topic posts, trolls, and other reasons. We all recognize the fact that it's stupid to not have a Mod in this section so this is the official petition for the Admin to read. If you think we should have a Mod in this section, just simply put "I agree, we need a Mod in the subwoofer section". Simple as that. Now of course, I doubt this will work but you never know. Maybe the Admin will realize the fact that these bullsh1t posts, stupid arguments, and trolls need to be dealt with in a timely manner in which he can not handle by himself because those reasons are forcing the regular members away from this site. So please, be the change and vote yes on this proposition (I just wanted it to sound official lol) So I'll start it off: I agree, we need a Mod in the subwoofer section |

And if it wasnt for the OT threads in the sub section, there would be little else to read. I would prefer the Mod deals with the very slow page loads if anything. Thats whats driving me away more then anything. Seriously, it takes my pc like 10-15 seconds per page load. Only site that does it. So it makes lurking in here a very long ordeal. But I do see Johns point of mods. And as per the norm, If something is very wrong in a post, such as prom or something, he (Brian) has always been pretty quick to delete it. Also I like the lack of mods. Otherwise itwould become more like that other site that bans ppl for personal reasons, Like voting, or pick a random noob... |

Brian simply doesn't want it. Hey thanks for the shout out JK.  It makes sense, benefits us all, and has been a request for years. I don't care who it may be, as long as they are impartial, mature, responsible and a frequent member. No need in a moderator who checks in once a week. I'm not talking about powers like banning members , only simpler ones like eliminating spam and deleting bogus posts/threads. There are MANY sides to E beyond subwoofers so a simple "yes" to member mods may pose a huge potential burden on selecting the 20 or so member mods that Brian has just decided it's not worth it. (Yes E's that big). You also can't have just one mod per section IMO. So yes of course I agree to member mods. If I had to vote it would go like this, in no particular order or favortism in overall fairness to everyone. Berny (Overseas right now defending our country. One of the oldest members here with a balance of knowledge and insight in life you will find, ever.) Chad (Outstanding gentleman, recently distracted from this forum) Rovin (Been here longer than most, knows just as much. Cool customer too) Frank A (Those here probably don't know him, good guy, long time member) Glass (Of course, even though he's an infrequent member) Nuck (I just like his angle on life) Yanks (Yes you Yanks. You're a smart fair cookie) Optidriven (Simply because he's consistent and knowledgeable) Jan V (He's a wealth of knowledge in his field, just needs to relax a bit) For right this minute those are my top choices. To me they should've been mods a long time ago. Sorry for all those great ppl I forgot.  |

Paul cleaned up what I left out in my original post though, he nailed all the points I failed to mention. I only posted this for the subwoofer section but this applies to all of E to be honest. We are nothing compared to other sections. IMO, I think the Mod should be able to delete posts/threads and be the one who recommends to the Admin if a member should be banned. He should almost be, for lack of a better definition, the speaker for the sections he is in charge of. I do hope the Admin seriously considers this and begins to take an effort in this matter to make this place just a little bit more helpful and organized. |

But it takes away from E's uniqueness.. The reason E is so much better than all those places is because we have no mods. We make our level of credibility.
