Kicker subs suck, all the square ones do but noobs think they're the best. Now IMO the best SQ subs in terms of price/performance/versatility are the Fi Q and RD Sonance. Again IMO and I will let someone else handle the SPL subs since that ain't my department. Although I'd suggest look into DD.
