Whats your budget?

To be honest you can get better than RE (only because they are rather high in price) and I personally dont care too much for the g5.

i like the g5. very nice sounding sub that definately doesn't get enough recommendations on this forum. not the loudest, but very nice.

i went and listened to a G5, they are too expensive for a SQ sub, they def aren't hard hitting for how they talk them up. And you dont think RE is good for the money? I've always thought them to be cheap for the sound you get outta them. And not to sound rich or nothing (because im not) but i really dont care what the cost is. If i want it, i will budget for it. I never go over 2 subs or 1 amp. and mostly always a ported box too.

Depends on where you buy RE lol. heard a pair of SE 10's ported box @ 32hz (in a trunk tho) and it was pretty impressive. Good output and sounded very solid. Ebay prices on the SE's are great IMO.

I haven't heard a G5, but have heard good things about them.

"they are too expensive for a SQ sub"

SQ isn't cheap.

A true SQ system can easily cost the same or more than a SPL system.

Wrong. All box design.

Ive seen 1 12 with the passive radiator hit lower mid 140s in an explorer on around 600rms and it sounded great.

All three brands have nice stuff, just depends how nice and expensive you want to get.

Agreed, each of them produce great products...however, I don't think RE is on the level as Diamond and Boston when it comes to SQ, but in turn I dont think they're on RE's level when it comes to amplitude. ;)

D3's or D6's will do great in a ported box tuned to 32-35, they'll have great SQ and will beat pretty good if you power them right, If you do D3's i recommend 500rms per sub and D6's 750-850rms. clean power.
