Hello all at ecoustics.

Please excuse the lenth of the post i wanted to provide as much detail as possible.

I am shortly going to install a sound system to my car and have a question, any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I intend to run 8 speakers off of 1 amp (Mutant MT2004 4 x 70w RMS @ 2ohm) as I am limited with the gear that i have.

Channels one and two will be used for rear left and right 6x9's on parcel shelf (infinity REF9623I - 100w RMS @ 2ohm)and i am happy with this.

The main question is regarding the remaining 6 speakers.

My VW Golf has 2 tweeters (4 ohm unknown power handling)on the dash and i have 4 vibe zero zx6 6.5" coax speakers(50w RMS @ 4 ohm) which i will use for the 4 doors.

My plan so far is to wire them in parallel in 2 sets, 1 tweeter and 2 coax per front channel.

My understanding is that wiring the 2 coax speakers in parallel will be an advantage as my amp will see a 2 ohm load and provide more power.

The only thing i dont understand is how the tweeters will affect the set up.

Are they irelivent as they are probably low power or will they alter the resistance that my amp can see?

PLease ask if i have missed anything

Regards Tom
