Old cars are great to have, providing you have the time and $ to work on them. Mines been sitting for 3 years now. I plan on getting it on the road this season. My buddy has some old stuff for sale. I can find out what he has at the moment. He deals in fixable classic cars and trucks..Mostly from the 50's. My 54' olds 88. ![]() |

Gold Member Username: Van_manBoston South, MA Post Number: 4644 Registered: Mar-06 | Thanks. Its all original 60k mile complte working car. Matching numbers and stuff. It could use some tlc, but for a fifty four your old car, its in very nice drivable condition. |

Gold Member Username: Van_manBoston South, MA Post Number: 4646 Registered: Mar-06 | possible Mike. I will stop by 2morrow and see what hes got. He also has some great connections to ppl selling classics. I'll let you know tommorrow. So your interested in retro trucks? what years? makes? And most of his stuff is running restro's. Meaning that they are streetable, but are not restored. More like works in progress. He had a 54 Merc Sled that was chopped and shaved. I think he sold it for like 3k. needed paint and interior work, but was driven daily. And Ray..Plans are stated..lol. drive it. I dont plan on hacking it up with 22's and other ghetto mods. Let Boyde and his goons do that. Cars like mine which are un-mulested should stay that way. Ive had ppl ask me to send pics of diffrent stuff on the car as they are trying to restore one of thier own. There are only a few original examples of these cars left. Anyone ( with cash ) can go buy an old car, pour a ton of bondo on it, order any engine/transmission combo. install custom interior, paint, and wheels and think they have a classic. Sure it may look nice but it will never be an original. I have to order $10 oil filters off the web, just to keep it original. and add lead to the gas. Acually, the one mod that im doing is adding air shocks to the rear. The original springs are a little saggy. I will replace the springs when I can find a new pair cheapish. |
