Sealed box question

I have 2 12" Alpine Type R's and I'm going to be building a ported box for them. However I wont be able to build the box for a few weeks so I got a temporary sealed box from a friend of mine. My question is, the previous owner of the box removed the center divider wall so it's one big opening, about 2.5ft^3. Will my speakers be damaged by not placing them in seperate chambers?

Thanks for the responses! I didn't think it would be a problem, however I didn't want to damage my brand new speakers... I can't wait to install these tonight

Shouldn't be a problem other than the box flexing more.... the divider also acts as a brace... whoever knocked it out is an idiot
