I'm running 3 DD3515's right now in a my Silverado, but I'm getting rid of that truck. Hope to have the Avalanche within the next 2 weeks. My Z2Hv is going in the demo van, so I will have to get a new amp or amps.

I have decided on one of 2 options.

A) Sell my 3515's, get 2 9518's w/ Platinum caps, and build this: Upload

B)Keep the 3515's and build this:
Upload

Both boxes are roughly the same size, and every wall but the floor is doubled. Both tune to ~37hz on paper. I would run roughly the same power with either setup.

So, what would you do?

The 18"s would look way more sick and maybe have the ability to hit the lows a lil bit nicer

Either would be insane. I'd be inclined to save the money and keep the same subs, but your situation may be different. Either way it will be awesome I'm sure.

I'm leaning to keeping the 35's.
Looking at a DD M4 for daily, maybe a pair. I'm pulling all my 1/0 and and batts out to stick in the new truck.

Cone area FTW

Keep the 15s. Color match the box to the truck. Do it.

well we need a few questions answered before getting to all that...

1. budget?
2. what kind of sound are you wanting? sq, sql spl
3. how much power do you plan to run?
4. have you thought about electrical upgrades (ie. batts, HO alt, Big 3)

lol jk. i vote 3515s!!!!

LOL at people saying to use the 18s.

The 3 15" setup has much more potential. Not only does it have more cone area which wins almost every time. Also more excursion since you've got 3 motors vs 2.

But I'm sure canaan is well aware.

Yep been thinking of it for a while now. The only problem is finding an amp to run them. I say you go with 3 15's.

Not really... there are strong amps that can do 0.7 ohm daily.... or get a little bigger amp and run at 1.3
