Re sx VS /////Alpine type

ok guys ive been reading about the re sx for a while now ive herd some good thing.. but my friend got a single type r and i like its sound but if i get the r in gonna ge 2 of them... so my question is what would hit harder and sound the best i want the bass to be clear and rattle your brain.... so would would sound better 2 type r's or a single re sx?

depends on power, enclosure and install. I personally think that 2 12" Type-r's has the potential to get louder. than a single SX.

2 12s R will be louder than 1 12 sx , a 1 15 SX shud be close though ...

ok perfect im gonna get the type r do u know if when u order it does it come with a alpine sticker in the box the woofer comes in? cuz i want one for my window... if i dont ill go to my local sticker shop

also 2 type r>>1 re sx

owned both and i must say the type r has better sq and since you gonna have 2 it will be louder.

ok thanks man im thinking about using a sealed prefad for now cuz i wanna make a ported one or have someone make it cuz i herd prefab ported boxes arnt very good??

just use that money towards a ported enclosure. you can build one for less the cost of buying a prefab

JL has good prefab boxes, but $$$ plays a big factor, plus the tuning will be diff. pretty much everyone on this site recommends fishercustoms boxes. the box they quoted me on was cheaper shipped than having a local shop build it.

well i think im gona try to make a ported box myself but idk where to get the materials at... like where would i find mdf wood and what would i ask for at the place... do i just say hey i need a few sheets of mdf?

2 8x4 sheets of 3/4" Mdf, double up on the baffle. measure twice before making any cuts.

ok now what would my box specs be for 2 type r 12's and if anyone could can someone draw me out a plan or give me a blueprint?? thank your everyone for all your help so far im hoping for plenty more help

you can prolly fit it in 1 sheet.. I dont think a double baffle is needed for a couple type-r's. I had my type-r's in many different boxes with a single baffle and never had a problem.

I just made a 4cube w/ 64sq in port for my SE's out of one sheet

About $20-25 for a sheet too

Oh and if you dont have the tools to cut, lowes will cut the dimensions sometimes its a quarter a cut.

i have tools thanks for the info so what size box should i make and where should the port be and where should the subs face im puttin the box in the back for my 98 chevy silverado

anyone know where to put the port idk yet if the subs r gonna face up or not... burt that should make a difference where i put the port right?
