I would go with the AQ, its not that much more new($30 or so) and as M.S. said, the hifonics is overrated. I have a BXi1206D powering 2 12" RD classics @ 1ohm final, and have it set to about 850wrms. Any more and they sound like crap because of the high distortion it produces to achieve that output.
I've read a LOT of claims that the '08 HF amps are accurately rated, but the aq1200d is more comparable to the bxi1608d than the 1208. It will be more powerful than the 1208.
