ive had my amp for almost a year and I was happy with it, its been great but up until these recent months, if i turn it up to a certain volume it will turn off (my components/front amp keep running).

is it time for a new amp?

reading> me. lol
i see where i read wrong in my earlier post.

Maxxsonics products are notorious for overrating their amps. But I see why you recommended the amp(price obviously)even though it is a class a/b amp. The MM series by Autotek is the best line they have. The SS series is well... ehh.

"expecting it to be good when its from maxxsonics"

what are you getting at... i don't understand exactly what you are trying to say. Maxxsonics is maxxsonics. And the amp still has Super Sport(SS) on the heatsink. Ampguts pic when u recieve it?

ps any word on the Jugg being shipped?

so wait, is that autotek any good? numbers seem pretty decent, i went to my local shop today and they offered me a memphis audio PR1.500 for 279.99+tax, does 500rms at 1ohm and that seems super high priced.

I was figuring maxxsonics had a hand in building but I guess not. the jugg should get there on the 12th.

Something less for 175.... Hifonics bx1208 should do the job. Or look for a used alpine mrp-m850 on ebay. Alpine mrp850 does power at 2ohms, hifonics does power at 1ohm. You need to specify what amount of power @ what ohm load you need it at as well.

you do know that they can handle/ need more than 800 wrms, right. 1000-1200 wrms is the range I would shoot for.

You really dont gain as much as you think going over the power.

I would at least run factory recomendations(500/wrms each).. And they can handle the additional 100 watts esch. Both 1000 and 1200 are common sizes for mono amps. Both sizes can be found cheap used.

800 would work though. lol

i have ran Hifonics plenty, They are a lil over rated but good budget amp.. They are al;so made by Maxxsonic as well as Crunch and MB Quarts, and Autotek. You can find used aq1200 in the same priced range if you look hard enough.
