I FINALLY 10 months later have installed my cdt comps and the sound and imaging is great but the tweets are deafening at volume 20 (and i listen usually at 26) how can i turn them down without effecting the mid woofers?

Are you using the eq on the HU. I would say go in and turn the eq down at the higher frequencies. Idk if that'll work, but thats my thought.

There should be a switch on your crossovers for the tweeter like +2db,0,-2db. I'm not sure if CDT has that or not though.

Depending on which CDT crossovers you have, some have a a +/- 3 db switch.

I run my DRT-25 tweets at -3 db. They are not harsh at all, sound very good but they are loud, were too loud for the mid.

I have the 480s. I don't think the 560 has the switch either.

Hey email me for any other questions you have Patrick and I'd be happy to help you out. There's no switch on the 560i crossover which (if I remember correctly) is what you have. Simply use the image tweeter output rather than the main tweeter output. This will give you a -3dB drop in the output.

If you have any other questions or if you need further help with getting the tweeters tuned, drop me a line at mike@exigeaudio.com
