my question is will my pcx2400 amp be good enough for this sub . my amp according to the manual , says it will due 1600rms @ 4ohm bridged. do you think it will be ok if i bridge it to a 2ohm load to at least get 2000rms if possible. someone is selling me a 18 in fi btl for 200 in new condition i think its a good deal and want to jump on it . but what do you guys think. im aware of the big 3 , alt, and battery upgrade im going to have to do.

if the amp is 4 ohm stable bridged it will not handle 2 ohm. Don't do it.

if the sub is a dual 2 0hm and i wire it to a 4 ohm load will 1600rms be enough or would it harm the sub for underpowering it.

You can not damage a speaker from underpowering. It will be fine.
