hands down, 12w7. why? cleaner sound. better SQ. more excursion while maintaining the SQ. down side? requires a large enclosure and is very heavy for it's size. also a single 3 ohm sub. kind of need a JL amp or youre going to be forking the same cash roughly to get a big enough amp to run the sub the way it should at a 3 ohm load. for this amp i would recommend the new 750/1, but a 500/1 would do just fine. i currently own a 12 w7 and 500/1 and its more than enough for my listening needs.
