I had an LA amp once, the thing was a 2 channel cost me $90 on boxing day and lasted about 5 months before dying and going into protect mode...

You have a Bolt series amp then, a buddy has one similar to those in his car. I think it's about a year old and it's still kickin. My amp is a Strike series amp, which is the only amp LA ever made that was actually good (not trying to bashyour equipment mike). These are suppose to do 1100-1200w @ 1ohm (rated at 1000w @ 1 ohm). I think the the x1.2000.1D can burp down to 0.25 ohm, and I wonder if this is the same for the mine.

Haha when I opened the box it was like that. I'm surprised this thing is still in one piece! In the first pic, that's little pieces of foam under the tape. I think the mail man did a little 4 wheelin before he made it to my house lol.
