You will not damage any equipment by under powering a sub as long as you everything wired and set properly. Don't try and suck more power out the amp by cranking the gain.

the gain definitely is not cranked, but should i buy another amp and have each amp wired to one subwoofer

underpowering a sub will not damage anything. whether you want to run dual amps is up to you.

if you have dual 4 ohm voice coils and they are wired in parallel to a 1 ohm load, then that amp is just fine for the subs..

if your subs are dual 2 ohm and are wired series/parallel to a 2 ohm load than that would not be the ideal amp.

you do not need another amp if your subs are dual 4 ohm.

since they're dual 2 you should try and get rid of the TMA and look for a JL1000 for cheap somewhere. you'll never want another amp. probably. if you don't upgrade. or upgrade to something the JL can handle.

the JL1000.1 is a hell of an amp. my brother used it to push 2 15" L5s when he had them, and it was pushing them harder than the ZX1500 he had.

go here and read post #8 from an official JL dealer.

in this caseit would be an option to get another identical amp and wire 1 sub to 1 amp. (in parallel- all+'s go to + on amp/ all -'s go to - on amp)

^^^ 1st diagram

each sub would have ~500 wrms which is perfect. I'm curious to know what enclosure you have the subs in... can you take a picture?

so the other day everyone was on edge, and now everyone actually apologizes.. i said sorry to snowball last night driz said sorry. everyone loves everyone!

it shouldn't matter if its in a pre- fab box by kicker or not. that just means the subs are already wired for you. which you can easily undo by taking them out.

if you want a new amp for them, get a new amp. but i think you should return them and get the D4 models. or you could return the TMA and get a RD1000.

i love mine, and RD is very dependable.
