I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Civic Si and I must say on my 3rd day of driving standard, it's fun but takes some getting used to for sure...lol

Well my trunk space is not huge by any means but here are my options for sub set ups as I can't decide what I should go with: (RD Alphas)

1x15" Ported ~33hz
2x15 sealed (If I can get them in)
2x12" Ported ~33hz

RD5750.1 wired at 2 ohms would be powering the subs, done with the .5ohm thing for now.

I currently have the 2x12" set up but it's tuned to 47hz and I am looking for more music than SPL now. Going to turn my old Escort into the SPL car. I don't want to loose a ton of bass but I also don't want to destroy my car and turn it into a rattle machine.

I like the 1x15" idea as the weight in the trunk would be less than the 2x15's or 2x12's....

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

1 15" set ups seems to becoming more and more popular. Cheaper than 2 12" or 2 15" and does not take up as much space. Amp would have to be switched though.

An Alpha 15" on a RD 1750.1 would bang.

But a 15" Alpha on 3200rms would wang harder :-) lol

Just looking and someone is giving away a sealed box for 3x12"s that it MADE for my car so maybe 3x12" Sonances sealed....

Going to see what subs I can sell as 3x12"s would be neat as well for a 1.34ohm load

well you can use them two 15" sonance. they use a very small box. You can use 6.5-7 total. The all you need is a 1750.1

you could use a 3250 if you wanted.

The sonance get super loud in small spaces.

I have a guy in explore with 4-10" on 5750 does high 153's

Guy in Fl does 160 on music with 12-12"

Guy in ark. does low 150's with two 18" sealed in a civic.

Guy in iowa does 153's with two 15" in a blazer with a 3250.1

guy in iowa burps a 161 with six 12" and 4k in a crx
