Sounds like you forgot the stickers.

Stickers make it louder.

I wouldnt fret about it, its a common noob error.

haha funny and the specs are like 4 cubes tuned to 35hz and yes everything is wired right
my last setup i had two twelve bm's on an md2d but i only had the amp at a little over a thousand watts set by dmm
to it only likes a few songs and even the ones with good bass it wont play for anything and my friend just has a single type r and it sound louder on alot of the songs

thats pretty weird cause i have an alpha and it outperforms everything else ive ever had. So there must be something wrong or maybe the sub has something wrong with it idk

yah ive heard nothing but great things about it but it just doesnt do it but my friend assembled the box and moved the port to the outside of the baffle so i think that it might have a lower tuning how do you find out what the box is tuned to

my guess is the enclosure is not a very good one and not to specs(actually-not on paper because they ones you mentioned sound fine) enclosure and install sound like the culprit to me.
I take it that the Alpha is dual 2 ohm and is wired in parallel to the amp, right?

i wired the sub each coil going to one sideof the amp and for the box it might not be perfect but its solid and made to spec but im wandering about how to check the tuning because i think the port was put in wrong but im not sure

use a box calculator(BassBox Pro 6,ect), enter parameters, there ya go.
For a free BC... try subwoofertools.com. I have figured out tuning with BBP6 before... never tried subwoofer tools though so...

Maybe it needs to break in a bit, but even then it should still be somewhat wangin right out of the box. Your using aero port(s)? What size and how many?

no im not using aeros its a slot port and i didnt wire it either of those ways i wired both coils to the amp such as the positive and negaive on one coil to one side of the amp and the positive and negative of the other coil wired to the other side of the amp one of my friends said it would be ok and i figured it has an internal crossover so it would work

Whoa, I didn't notice this thread until now. This is the first time I have heard this from an Alpha user. Check your exact box dimensions and port dimensions. Let me know what box is.

these are the dimensions i was given from someone who made me a design
a bit bigger
16"h x 32" w x 22"d

4.021 cubes of airspace after port and sub displacement tuned to 35hz
5.055 cubes total

Top and Bottom: 32" x 22"
Front Baffles 2: 28.25" x 14.5"
Back: 32" x 14.5"
Left Side: 21.25" x 14.5"
Right Side: 19.75" x 14.5"
Port Piece 1: 16.75" x 14.5"
Port Piece 2: 5/8" x 14.5"
i think the port my have been moved from where it was suppose to be which was behind the double baffle to the side of it so that might be my problem the tuning might be set low but im not sure

Do you want me to see what i can get one of my dealers in Iowa to build you a box?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DqRJ5y-w2o

that is a 1750/alpha 15 with an extra battery.

If the port is not lined up correctly it can throw the tuning off and possibly damage the subwoofer.

Why did you use 5/8 wood?

is the box that you have right now, the volume (internal) right? are u sure u didn't make a classic noob error (along with the capacitor? lol) and used outside dimensions to find the internal volume? because if u did that could REALLY fu<k up a ported box. I've done it.

If I find someone in your area I will let you know. It is tough to find a shop that doesn't want $400 or more for a custom box :-(

OK man i found you a deal.

I have to go pick it up myself if you want one of my guys to build it.

75.00 + ship so around 115-125.00 but i have to actually get the amount after fees because this is exactly what it costs me.

If you want to do this i need you LxWxH you can use and if you get back to me soon i can pick it up today.
