one of my buddies is selling his kicker l5 12 and zx 500.1 amp, for a pretty good price. is the zx 500 too much for my stock electrical system though?

my car is a 2004 jeep grand cherokee

thanks

~500rms is not going to hurt your electrical. you need to worry about upgrading when you get around 1200-1500rms.

i own a JGC.. If you have the stock 132 amp alt then you are more than fine... Although I would consider a different setup.

post budget for sub/amp and what sound you are looking for. SPL,SQL,SQ>
How much room do you want to sacrifice?
What otyher equipment do you already have?

good luck

500rms would definitely be ok on a 132 amp alt. I ran 500rms in my accord with im thinkin' a 85amp stock alt (not sure) with no problems.
