when looking to purchase subs, when you look at the frequency response and the sensitivity of the subs how are you suppose to know which is a good level and which is bad. i dont understand the sub lingo so if someone can help...

it all depends on what your looking for if you want an SPL sub it will usually have a higher frequency response while SQ subs usually have lower frequency responses this is usually true because most spl installs are tuned at high hz because its alot easier to get loud this way

well like i dont understand like d class subs or anything like high high or low sounds. i looking at the L7 12 kicker

a good ballpark way to tell how low a sub can drop is to look at its Fs ...lower Fs = lower the sub can play ...box design plays a major part too ...
