Has anybody tried these earbuds? I'd be interested in hearing any reviews on them. Also, can anyone get a deal on them? They're like $59/pair thru DD.

Thanks!

I would not recommend those since they are known to cause hearing loss. Since they are DD, they have massive bass and do 179 db in your ear.

$59 is actually a great price. They are CnC'd out of aluminum with optimal bass venting. Very nicely made. My Shures cost me $100 and any comparable models are in that range too. The correct name is "in-ear monitors".

Nothing, except the price is pretty high. I don't know if you have the noise cancelling or standard model, but both deliver powerful bass and sound very clean.

These sound great.
The bass is very smooth and responsive.

They have interchangable ear fittings so you can get them to fit well. You do not have to play them loud to overcome ambient noise, because they block out everything.

I love mine...and someone on here will love theirs. Hint hint.

Vic Firth Isolation Headphones

Best noise canceling headphones Ive ever owned. I use them when I play set downstairs to cancel out most of the noise. I can listen to a song on my iPod and hear the drums just enough to know if Im playing in time with the song or when Im really practicing they are great for hearing a metronome without having to blare it from my computer.

yeah they were pretty pricy, i have the noise cancelling, work great, i think my buddy has a pair of those in ear things, he loves them come with diff earplug sizes, i heard them and they sound pretty good, but there's no replacement for displacement

This is generally true Kyle, but when you are talking about something that goes inside your ear canal, then it is a whole nother ball of wax (pun intended). It would take me ten minutes to explain why, and I am at work.

@ Andrew... the Vic's are awesome, I agree. He is my buddy. I was endorsed by Vic Firth for many years before I switched to Vater. He is one of the kindest and smartest people I have ever known, and a phenomenal drummer. I will be talking to him again in three weeks.

i do understand the diff on a very basic leve. for some reason it seems like my bose were a fair amount better than my buddies in ear phones. his did get louder though. i really wanna try out those beats by dr. dre, they look good. any body know anything about those "surround sound" head phone. i was shopping for a new laptop and dell had these 8 driver head phones, they didnt really explain how they work.

Sorry to jack...

Brad, Im so envious of you. Sounds like you are sponsored by Vater. Ever met:

Steve Bache? He Is Legend was awesome back in the "I Am Hollywood" days and are still good.
Matt Greiner from August Burns Red? One of my favorite, current, drummers.
Dave Powell from Emery? First show I ever knocked someone out at. During "Walls"
Jamie Ethridge for Scary Kids?
Mark Castillo from Bury Your Dead?
Robb Rivera from Nonpoint?

I THINK all of those guys are Vater guys.
