of these amps, i was wondering which would be worth the buy (as well as best fuction), all are brand new, and the left price is online store, the right is ebay.

OH and I need an amp that can run 1000 watts at 1 ohm.

JL audio 1000/1- 800/ 535
MTX XThunder X1000D- 269/ 240
Hifonics TXi 1508D- 200/ 188
Alpine MRP M1000- 319/ 268
Kicker zx1000.1- 429/ 289
K.W. eXcelon KAC X1R- 300/ 219
RF Punch P1000-1bd- 400/ 325
P. Premier D1200SPL- 425/ 400
Memphis 16 MCD1000- 450/ N/A

then the lower end modles.
Sony XM- D9001GTR- 150/ 128
Crunch P1000.1- 163/ 133

Me personally, I'm leaning towards the Hifonics. And I'm still open to any suggestions. Budget is anywhere under 400. F/u_c/k that JL thousand.

Out of the group i would pick the alpine or kicker. Both are pretty good amps for the money. I believe the Alpine runs at 2ohm mono tho... so you know.

The alpine and kicker are only good ones out of that entire list, and they are 2 ohm. And no theres not ways around that unless you change subs.

Audioque 1200d is $249 and fits the bill perfectly. So does a RD 1000.1 from kevin holden you can get a good price.

You'll get more than 1000 out of that amp too.

wow, snow. THANK YOU. that is probably the most helpful thing you have ever said to me.

anyways, my big brother just moved back in with me, and im pretty sure i know more than him about car audio, although i don't know much.. point is, he's always been a big L5 and L7 fan, and he used to have a JL 1000/1 pushing 2 15" L5s. it all got stolen, but he swears that RF amps are garbage.

is this statement just another display of his lack of knowledge, or is there some reason behind this?

"he swears that RF amps are garbage"

Absolutely not. RF amps are definitely good amps...well, the Power Series anyways. I have no experience with the Punch series.

ok, now kevin and i are working out me buying the A3, but can anyone tell me what im doing?

I have 2 dual 4 ohm subs. Each one needs to be running 500w rms. so 1000w rms total. should i wire them to 2 ohms a piece, then bridge them?

or leave it at 2 ohms per channel?

A3 specs:

Output power in 4 ohm: 2 x 150 watt
Output power in 2 ohm: 2 x 270 Watt
Output power in 1 ohm: 2 x 425 Watt
Output power in 4 ohm bridge mode: 550 Watt
Output power in 2 ohm bridge mode: 870 Watt
Output power in 1 ohm bridge mode: 1200 watt

And kicker sqaure subs suck in SQ, and RF power series amps are good. So your bothers 0 for 2.
