Ive been thinking latly about changing my system up and was wondering opinions.

Option 1:
2 12" Bl's with 1350rms each

Option 2:
2 12" BTL's with 1350rms each

Option 3:
2 12" BTL's with 2200rms each

I cant decide what to do. Ive currently got a zx2500.1 (2700rms) so it would be nice to keep that amp. But if i went the BTL route i would probly sell the zx2500.1 and get 2 AQ2200's. how much difference would be between the 2 12" Bl's getting 1350rms each and 2 12" BTl's getting 2200rms each?

i vote option 3 if you are willing to go through the hassle of selling your amp

if not - my vote would go to option 1 because it is cheaper

the BTLs have a stronger motor but with the cone area and power being the same, i dont think you would hear much difference between option 1 and 2

Do you have enough power to run 4-5kw? Its not as easy as people say... hah.

Id take (3,1,2) in that order if money wasnt an option and you had the proper charging.

Well you're not gonna do option 3 without a HO alt and a few batteries.

So I say option 1.

while option 3 would be somewhat louder I don't think it would be enough to justify the cost.

To me, based off your description, option 2 is the most logical. The BTL's will be plenty loud off 1300 watts, and louder (all things considered equal) then the BL's . No need to slam the BTL's with 2500 each for daily.
