ok so i'm gonna get a 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe. It has a GPS touch screen double din headunit. I am not gonna change this out, cause it has voice activation and a bunch of other cool features..

I plan on getting a
15inch Audiopulse Axis
AQ 2500d

What will i need to hook this up to the factory headunit.. Is it possible

I do not plan on upgrading speakers, it has 9 speakers and 2 subwoofers i think, It is a Bose system so no point in replacing them i just want some thump.. The trunk is 7.8 cuft so im tryin to figure out how im gonna do this, but thats for another thread..

Thanks for the help here are pics

Have fun, interfacing with factory systems is a pain in the azz

Usually you need an adapter module for the premium sound systems like that..... companies like scoshe make them for a varity of cars.... do some research.

^^^x2. Yeah its a pain, but can be done. At least your not dealing with OnStar. From what ive heard thats the absolute worst to interface with.

shouldnt be that bad if you're just doing a sub amp off the bose h/u. the hardest part is finding witch pin in the harness is the switched 12v. other than that you'll need to run a LOC off of the stock wires. i checked the diagram for that system and it was fairly similar to my audi's bose system and that did take very long to do at all

Guys, he doesnt need any interfaces or onstar crap haha, he's only adding a sub amp to the factory HU.

I'd tag the leads off the factory subwoofer for signal to your aftermarket amp.

The biggest problems I end up having with systems like that is the automatic volume leveler. When you turn the stereo up all the way it detects distortion and automatically attenuates the HU's output to the factory amp. When you add subs that are much louder than the factory system it'll only go so loud haha.
A few times I was able to find the mic/sensor and unhook it. You can also encapsulate it with a bag and a roll of tape haha.

Good luck with the system, show us some pics :D

So you're no longer getting the three 15'' BTLs, three Memphis 4Kws,3 Kinetik HC2400s and installing it in the trunk of your Caprice? Damn, that sucks dude.

where have you been.. i changed that a long time ago when gas went up, and i dont want no Gas Guzzler v6 ... that was like a couple years ago i changed it to the LMS ultra.. but i dont feel like spending so much money and it wont fit in this trunk.. So now one audiopulse Axis 15 on AQ2200d.. sorry 2500 2200 not the same

And yea i know about the electrical system upgrade well aware of that

Big 3
H/O alt

I decided i want a NEW car not a old car that has no warranty and will most likely break down

"and i dont want no Gas Guzzler v6 ..."

Wow does that make me feel old.

Years ago if you had a V6 it most certainly had a "baby on board" sign in the window lol. They were considered the "conservative" vehicle back then. Now they're gas guzzlers?

Even today I can't see myself driving a truck with less than 8 cylinders. Nostalgia aside it just doesn't feel right.

$.02.

Tap into the factory sub in the car's back deck w/ a nice LOC.
Grab a switched 12v in the dash and run it to a relay.

Easy as that.
