The Crunch has 2x40's, but for the price should be fairly powerful. The issue with both those amps is reliability. The other thing to consider is that with a pair of dvc 2's you wouldn't be able to get the power either of those amps are capable of. They both do best at 2 ohms stereo/4 ohms mono. With a pair of dvc 2's your wiring options are 1 or 4 ohms stereo/2 or 8 ohms mono. According to ratings the Hifonics would give you around 500w total - 250w per sub, the Crunch probably less. You should be able to find some quality mono amps that are 2 ohms stable and in your price range. kenwood excelon (ecoustics hates on Kenwood a lot, but the excelon's are pretty good amps IMO).
