ok here's the deal.

there are 3 dual 4ohm subs.

so i was thinking of wiring it like this.

sub 1......series = 8ohms
sub 2.....parallel = 2ohms
sub 3......series = 8ohms

then wire all the + together and - together and it will result in 1.333 ohms.

You can get 2.667ohm or 0.667ohm out of 3 DVC4's.

I would not run it the way you have it...the center sub would see more power than the other 2.

alright gotcha. looks like i am gonna have to go with 2.667ohms. damn that means i am barely gonna get 900wrms out of my amp.

if you think about it though, its the final ohm load to the amp is what matters isn't it?

x2 what canaan said...

It's not good to have the one sub getting more power than the other 2

2ohm dvc would of been good. but these subs are rated at 300-500wrms so i am still good.:-)

chad the center sub will still see more power because it has a lower resistance.

yeah rovin they only come in d4.

M, the subs are the new rd sq subs.

i hooked them up like canaan said and got 2.6ohms. since these subs are efficient from 300wrms each, it sounds awesome. i am roughly seeing like 700-800wrms out of my dls A6 amp but its enough. besides anyone that owns a dls amp will tell you they get fairly hot. now they run alot cooler.

ok at 2.6ohms my current amp does around 700-800wrms. no point in getting an amp that is 1000wrs at 2ohms so i can get that extra 200wrms. my dls A6 is just too awesome. besides i might need a 1ohm stable amp in the future.
