Anyone got a suggestion for a cheap soundproofing? We are rebuilding the walls completely since they need new sheetrock anyway.

I was thinking eggcrate but was looking around on the net and found all kinds of stuff lol.

Anyone have a suggestion?

you can buy sound deadening boards, idk how much they are

my uncle is a producer in nashville and his studio at home was soundproofed. the technology behind that stuff is insane, he had to bring in like a soundproofing designer to like calculate the optimal spots for different soundproofing stuff. crazy amounts of money. i think it might be hard to do it for cheap

Rockwool slabs or pulp in the airspace between the drywall is key. Slant one of each opposing walls to eliminate standing waves. Build a subfloor and isolate it with neoprene blocks. Build cheap bass traps from 2x4's, carpet and rockwool. Sew up some cheap triangle corner traps out of pillowcase material and dacron filler. Some QuietRock all the way around is always good too but it isn't cheap:
