Ive decided to scrap the idea for the 2 type R 12's, at least for now. I was looking for a single 12 that is based for SQL(mainly towards SQ though). I want it to get loud also, just that isnt the priority. I listen to a lot of metal with fast double bass, and rap also. The amp Im looking at now is the AQ1200D. As for the subs themself I was looking at the FI Q 12, RD audio 12, and the SI Mag 12. My budget is about $550 give or take some, for the amp+sub. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also my car is a 2001 cavalier sedan in case that matters.

Jl 12 w 6 v2. Sweet sq with decent output around 132 -135 db in a ported box on about 500 watts depending on the vehicle.

Hmm, so are you stuck on the single 12" idea? 2 12" RD classics sealed would sound awesome!

Yeah the sonance was the one I was looking at for RD. I could do 2 RD classics, but that is pushing my budget.

id get a hold of kevin holden, and get a price on a rd1000.1 and a 12" sonance, that would be a great setup, and i am almost sure it would be in your price range

I wonder how an Elite vs Sonance would do on 1200w?
