^^ Nick, that video is kinda disturbing, LMAO.

Someone on here put a horn tweeter in his grill. Who was that, Drivinreckless or whatever? Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Doug, people that do that usually have better luck with a PA horn. You can get them at radioshack for $30 or so. Just mount it under your hood, and run the wire back to your radio and put it in series with one of your channels.

The only reason i could see doing this is if your at a party you can play your music and hear it without rolling your windows down or leaving the door open thus you wont have bugs or ash in your vehicle.

just an idea

I'd do it for that reason. Would have it set up so that I can turn it off and on as well.

Why would that be an acceptable reason for the PA speaker... Me personally, I would not want that horrible of a sound associated with my system... I mean, it doesn't sound even remotely good.

free air or in an enclosure? mounting the speakers presens a new set of problems

I would have to say you are going to need some way shape or form of an enclosure. If i am not mistaken i believe marine speakers are only water proof if they are enclosed

Another thing you need to think of is that they need to be salt resistant too

Polk MOmo series are water resistant. I believe there is a few others too.

What you need is a set of these..

But why?????

Music is meant to be enjoyed by the intended listener. To drive around pumping out sound heard 500' away is not enjoying it, it's a statement.

One most will accept as annoyance.

Don't do that. Please.

lol true but i mean.. when guys get their 4 12's or 2 15's or w\e u want isnt the idea of that so others can hear it?? i know ppl dont get all that bump jus for a nice massage or so they can hear it better u kno? lol so wouldnt this basically the same? or is my theory flawed?

further ruining the reputation of people with sound systems.....

reasons for speakers outside of truck?
1. people look at you
2. people acknowledge you
3. dumb kids want to be you

and the list only continues. i vote you don't buy them, save your money, and buy yourself a halfway decent setup for inside your car, which for some reason, i doubt you have.
