Can anyone please tell me what would be a good box to buy for two 12" alpine type r's? I listen to both rock and rap and i want the bass to be loud in the box but i dont want bass that is loud and sounds like crap. Im trying to keep my budget below $75 if possible. Maybe a sealed box? Any help would be appreciated.
If you want to go sealed. Alpine recommends .7-1.0cuft gross per subwoofer. If you decide to go ported, Alpine recommends .75-1.75cuft gross per subwoofer. How much room do you have if you decide to go ported?
I would not go sealed... If you cant build your own ported box then you might be in a bind... The type-r are easyily strong enough to blow the sides out of a prefab enclosure... unless you go with a probox.. and A probox is outta your price range.
