Amp + sub with stock headunit

ok guys i have a 1998 honda accord with a stock headunit and 4 half decent speakers in them but im looking for more umph. since i just spent 100 bucks on a ipod hookup for the stock headunit. anyway im torn between two dif loc's im looking at which would be easier for the wiring and what not for my car? and one last question since my headunit is stock how will the amp know when to turn on?

You have to run a 12volt remote wire to the amp, I do this from my fuse box. Find something that is only on while the ignition is in ACC or the car is started, or else the amp will remain on and drain your battery.

you can also run a 16 guage wire from the fuse block of your power wire to the amp, then put a switch in so you can control when you want it on and off, and if done correctly can add some look to the inside depending on what switch you get

you might as well have just bought a head unit for the money you spent on the ipod adapter
