somthing i cane accross while looking on ebay

"Remember kids that your amp, especially a class D mono block amp will run full power into a 2 ohm load even though its 1ohm stable or states that it produces full power into a 1ohm load.. I know, this goes against what everyone says, but it's true. Simply adjust the gain properly to the 2ohm load and PRESTO, full power. If you want more info on this please email, robotunderground@yahoo.com Remember that an amp is simply a gain device. Signal in plus whatever +db gain the amp can do = output."

i never heard of this is this true? does this mean that if your amp says:
2000 @ 1ohm
1000 @ 2ohm
500 @ 4ohm
you can actually get 2k @ 2 ohms?

Its total BS.
The amps internals are not built to do it.

That is like saying a vehicle that has 350hp at 5500rpm will still do 350hp at 1000rpm without changing ANYTHING.

well there were a series of RF t2000.1bd's that were doing more power at 2ohms then 1 ohms...i don't think it's like that now but there were quite a few released that way.
