Im going to be purchasing a single 15" type R and was wondering what amp i should get with it. I was looking at the kicker 750.1 and the hifonics bxi1200d. Budget is about $250 shipped for the amp. I have a 105A alternator and am going to do the big 3 when I get my new wiring. Any suggestions?

Audioque 1200d

Always good to have more power than you need.

Since thats a 1 ohm amp make sure you get a dual 2 ohm sub.

ok, i just didnt know if that sub could take that much, which is why i was looking at the kicker and the hifonics. Now will my alternator be able to power that without an extra battery?

You don't have to give the sub the amps max output, I'll say it again

Always good to have more power than you need

The kicker is the wrong impedance that will not work. The hifonics is a low quality amp.

There is now real way to know what the electrical system will support until you try it.

The 1542 and the zx750.1 would make a great combo IMO.

My friend has that same hifonics amp, seemed good(besides being overrated). I think ill just go with the kicker amp then.

The kicker is a good amp but to run that you have to get the dual 4 ohm version of the sub
