okay so a little bit of background first... i know absolutely nothing about car audio... subs, amps, ohms, watts, mono, stereo... that is all a foreign language to me... so i need some help... I am looking to buy an amp for my new sub... I just purchased a Kicker CVX15... and i want an amp that will give me the best performance possible out of my sub... what amps to you recommend? mono or stereo? i dont know... please help me... thank you!!

For a sub you need a mono class D amp. Now in order to know if you need a 1 ohm or 2 ohm stable amp we need to know what coils your sub has.



If it's dual 4 ohm, Kicker ZX750.1 or ZX1000.1

If it's dual 2 ohm, Audioque 1200d



There are certinaly other good amps but IMO those are the best value and still are good quality.

my sub is a dual 4 ohm, so probably the ZX1000.1?

Isn't that putting the cart in front of the horse a bit?


If you know nothing about anything why buy a sub blind then ask to have an amp paired with it?

I'm not hatin' on your choice of sub BTW.
